Election Day

Politics No Comments

No, not the 1985 song from barely-remembered Duran Duran spin-off Arcadia (which apparently goes for seven quid on 7in vinyl these days). It’s yer actual General Election today, which thankfully means an end to politicians saying the same things over and over and over again, day after day until all you want to do is choke them to death with copies of their own manifestos.

Quite how they think constant repetition of the same three of four words (”hard-working families” is particularly popular, it seems) will encourage anyone to vote is beyond me. Unless they’re banking on large sections of the electorate being slow-witted cowpeople with the attention span of a teenage goldfish that’s lost its Ritalin.

Ah. Hang on. As you were.
